Monika explores the collaborative potential of digital design + fabrication practices as Director of LAN / Live Architecture Network. Traveling internationally as a lecturer and director of workshop experiences, she connects design professionals and academics with advancing fabrication strategies delivering integrated instruction in alliance with industry specialists. She’s dedicated to ‘self-directed’ teaching philosophies, applying her knowledge of studio-based, project-driven learning during visiting professorships. Her research at present focuses on forwarding increasingly accessible human health data as the next significant data set to drive architectural processes. She serves as Chair of 3d print sessions at Stanford Medicine X Conference and was recently named Co-Lead of Stanford’s MedXMakers initiative. She is currently initiating project ‘Lungs.Me’ which will kick-off in the Biennial of the Americas (August 2015).
