Ron Shvartsman is a computational designer currently investigating algorithmic techniques in relation to computational geometry, material computation and interactive design with vested interest in applying these techniques to prototypical assemblies as well as architecture. He is Visiting Faculty in the Graduate School of Architecture at Montana State University. His Advanced Design Studio explores digital to physical workflows that circulate openly between computation, simulation and physical prototyping utilizing emerging digital design tools.
He holds a Master of Design Research in Advanced Architectural Design from the Southern California Institute of Architecture after having previously studied at Montana State University – School of Architecture. While in Los Angeles he also held position as designer and fabricator at Ball-Nogues Studio in Los Angeles, CA.
