Monika explores the collaborative potential of digital design + fabrication practices as Director of LaN. Traveling internationally as a lecturer and director of workshop experiences, Monika connects professionals and academics with local advancing fabrication technologies delivering integrated CAD/CAM instruction in alliance with fabrication specialists. Her research at present focuses on forwarding increasingly accessible human health data as the next big data set to drive parametric design towards locally-customized architectural processes.
Monika currently is pursuing concentrated efforts in Rome collaborating with Solido 360 prototyping; she has formerly held visiting adjunct faculty positions in Universities in the USA and Europe. Monika holds a postgraduate degree in ‘Digital Architecture Production’ from IaaC (Institute for advanced architecture of Catalonia, Barcelona) and has studied at the Architectural Association, (London) & The University of Colorado. Monika credits her early architectural experience with the practices Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Research + Design (ReD) and collaborative experience with Vicente Guallart Architects (Barcelona).
