I think you should use culling patterns to divide the subsurfaces in 3 different list.
Fromt there you can just apply your components using the boxmorph component.

I&#039;ve been trying to divide a surface according to how the sun hits it so I can attach my components to it.   

I have 3 different components (each one with different openings) &amp; I must position them on a tower facade, some in shadow parts of the tower and others with full sun but I don&#039;t know how to select only the red zones to attach one component to it and shadow parts (blue zones) to attach my other components.

I would apreciate your feedback on this and hope you understand me.</description>
