LOUVERS_BET_SPLINES:
Definition generates a series of louvers between two generic splines. The louvers’ direction is determined by a point in space. Moving the point results in different orientations of the louvers.

The sliders allow to define a sub-surface area and the UV subdivision amount.
The angle between normal vectors at each point and the reference vector are plotted onto the surface for an immediate understanding of incidence conditions.
Angles bigger or equal to 45 degrees are marked with a normal line.

Deborah Brill Wagner
Hello
I’ve been trying to divide a surface according to how the sun hits it so I can attach my components to it.
I have 3 different components (each one with different openings) & I must position them on a tower facade, some in shadow parts of the tower and others with full sun but I don’t know how to select only the red zones to attach one component to it and shadow parts (blue zones) to attach my other components.
I would apreciate your feedback on this and hope you understand me.

Hi Deborah,
I think you should use culling patterns to divide the subsurfaces in 3 different list.
Fromt there you can just apply your components using the boxmorph component.
If you need further help, please send me your files and I can get back to you.
ciao
Carlo
